I have all these fun things I wanted to post about, but never seem to have my computer with all the pictures on it or get side tracked with other issues. Here is a perfect example: instead of posting the wonderful good mail I have recieved - or posting about the craziness that is my job, I am posting about our playgroup today.
We went to a spray park near our house. All over the city they have these great free splash parks that are part of the parks department. There is usually enough for kids of all ages to play with, which is great, because we have such a diverse play group. We spent a couple of hours there this morning to get out of the oppressive heat we seem to be having.
How are you staying cool?

That is so cool! I bet all the little kiddos love it. I think I would be tempted to get all wet with the kids though.
The weather has been so nice this week that we have spent a lot of time outside doing various things. I don't know how next week will be when she wants to be out but I am dying from the heat. Maybe a lot of swimming will be in order.
Lara, we have a similar splash park in Tempe, the kids love it! I am running out of ideas on how to stay cool though (at home with the AC seems the most appealing most of the time). But, alas my kids get bored cooped up so we do try to get out as much as possible. Seth runs up our water bill with the hose outside, we swim, we eat about three popsicles a day, we play at the mall (and anywhere else with AC)...but it's August, so not too much longer, right?
Lara, How are you likin life now that you quit your job? Do you get to spend more time with lulu, and bake fabulous pies!
I just started a new job, and swamped now! My old job was so easy compared to this one, but i couldn't take the drama there anymore. my old boss was the most awful person I've ever come across. anyways, i am so much happier now that i'm gone.
I'm actually still at my job until the end of September. I'm with you on the whole drama thing. My office is all kinds of drama. I cannot wait to leave it all behind.
I wondered where you have been. You haven't posted to your blog in awhile.
What a cool place to go, and what cute pictures of Lulu.
Things have cooled down substantially this week so we haven't been as grouchy about the weather. Tonight was actually so nice we drove home with the windows down. Other than that we usually go to the water park once a week, or if we're at the kids play in the sprinklers. I pretty much hide out inside because the heat pisses me off.
I would love free splash parks. We have been trying to go the the water park regularly this summer and we like the regular parks too.
Lulu is so cute! I see both you and Adam in her.Did Adam teach her that face:)
Here in SL we have the Gateway fountain. It is free and the kids love the music with the water. I don't know if it was built for playing in the water or not, but it is heavily used in the summer.
Me, I prefer nakedness.
btw, typing this from my new Black MacBook that my work got me. :) -jp
Fun pictures. Its great to have so many nice places to be able to cool off! You gotta love good mail. How fun to get so many nice packages.
I love spray parks, what fun. My husband and I have dubbed the master bedroom the "cold room". We have central air but it couldn't keep up with the heat and our front room has west facing floor to ceiling windows that the heat just pours in from, we bought a window unit for the master, therefore the "cold room" It's heavenly in there.
She is so cute. I want to squeeze her! I love and miss you guys...
Free splash parks. Brilliant! Wish we had some of those...
