I have been a terrible blogger. Since I am no longer working, I'm not in front of a computer everyday, so I find it hard to sit down and add to my blog. I need to figure out my daily schedule.. however- it will have to wait for all my traveling to quite down.
So.. my life in a nutshell.
- My last day of work was September 22. It was sad and emotion, but my mom and dad were in town so it wasn't nearly as bad as I thought.
- I took my parents around the town and we enjoyed our time together. I joked with my mom that she wanted to see me one last time before I head off to India. She didn't think it was funny.
- My parents left on Tuesday and on Wednesday we flew to NYC for a fun trip. We stayed with our friends, The Fabulous Hunts. They put up with us for about 6 days. I was so nervous about staying for such a long time, but in the end it was perfect. Rebecca's husband Stu got some absolutely fabulous tickets to the Yankees for Friday night (the main reason we went). I was going to go, but after a very long day Rebecca and I begged out of the commitment and instead stayed at home. It was fun to catch up with one another. It made me miss her even more.
- I leave for India tomorrow. I am really excited/nervous/anxious. I feel much calmer than I have been, but I told Adam "I'll feel better when I am back home after my trip." Weird sentiment, but true. I'm busy packing and trying to get everything ready. My sister said the airport in Paris always misplaces luggage, so I am trying to get it all situated so I can just carry the bag on. Crazy airline restrictions.
I'm sorry I have been terrible about posting- My journal is going to be toast for these past two weeks. I'll try and post while I'm in India, but if not I'll make sure to post before I head off to SLC.
**Is anyone interested in getting together in SLC? Both Katie and I will be in town for about 2 weeks. I get there around the 17 October and stay until the middle of November. I would love to meet/see everyone in SLC so let me know.
Until then- Namaste.

Happy Trails, dear Lara. I hope this trip is everything you want it to be. Can't wait for the recap when you return. Be safe, be happy!

Lara,
Best of luck, please be safe, you're in our prayers lady. Call me the minute you can when you get back!
Wow..I just happened to find your blog... and we are a lot alike. I have a daughter named Lulu too...and I just got back from Africa on a trip that I didn't take my family on. I got involved w/ a charity there (and we are in the midst of an African adoption..) and I just decided to get involved and do some of the things that I have been dying to do. I can't wait to hear about your trip to India and to read the archives and find out why you are going.... I have been to Myanmar (sp?) but never India. Maybe that is next.....
Oh, I was just wondering if you were in India yet! I hope it is a wonderful trip with no nasty surprises. And of course we want to get together when you are in UT! Just let us know what is good for you.
I can't believe you're in India right now! That's just plain crazy.
I'd definitely like to meet you and Katie when you guys are in SLC. I'll email you my contact info so we can set something up.
Can't wait to hear all about it! If I come up to UT sometime during that spread, I'll let you know! Good luck and be safe! Soak it all in!
