Lulu and I have had a great trip to Salt Lake. It has been fairly jam packed, but we have enjoyed the time with our family and friends.
I had a great time meeting several of the "Utah Bloggers". Jill hosted a great party and even though she was a bit under the weather she was a gracious host and didn't kick us out.. when she really should have. It was so fun chatting with everyone and playing connect the dots with the other bloggers and discovering how everyone was connected. I'm sure I divulged WAY too much about myself, but really- haven't we all at some point? It was great to see Amy M after all of these years and to get caught up. It really made me wish we lived in Utah. I'm looking forward to the next blogging party.
Adam came into town last week for a quick weekend. It was nice to see him after being separated for ANOTHER 2 weeks. He was able to do a little fishing with my dad, so he was pretty happy. We also spent some of the time helping my girlfriend with her kids. She just gave birth to her 4th child. It was nice to spend time with her and her kids. We took the kids to the local aquarium and to the Children's Museum. We also headed to one of my favorite restaurants in Salt Lake- Hires Big H. They have great Diet Coke. I love to spend time with her kids and they were real troopers. Everytime I come I realize how much I wish we lived in Utah.
We also spent part of the weekend with Adam's siblings. It is always great to see them and their families. We went bowling at the Union Building at the U of U. Ahhh- the good old Union Building. I actually took bowling when I was a student. Although- I question whether I learned anything in the class- well except for proper bowling etiquette. It was nice to see them. Everytime we spend time together, I realize how much I enjoy their company and really wish we lived in Utah... do you see a pattern emerging?
It is our last week and I feel a little stressed about seeing all the people I still need to see. I thought I had been pretty good about planning my time and seeing everyone I needed to, but I guess not. Although- we found ridiculously cheap tickets to SLC for Christmas (you gotta love the repeal of the Wright Amendmen) so we head back in 4 weeks. It is a bit ridiculous, but since my parents are moving it will be the last Christmas in my parent's house. I'm excited to come back and I think it is a worthy purchase. With that knowledge I'm not quite as stressed.
I'm anxious to get home, but I'm always a little home sick for Utah after I get back to Texas. Maybe someday.

What a treat to meet fellow bloggers in person! I'll have to try and hook up when I'm in Utah next. Sounds like a busy trip...by the way, Lulu's costume is ADORABLE!
I'm glad you had fun. It was so good to see you again and hope you are able to make it for the next one. :)
It was so fun getting to meet you, and I wouldn't say you divulged too much about yourself. You were a delight and I'm so glad we got to do that.
Is moving to Utah a possibility when Adam is done with all of his Doctor stuff?? That would be great!
Tickets home for Christmas are always a worthy purchase. Especially since it is the last in that home.
I hate the last minute visits so you can say you saw someone on your vacation. That is always stressful.
so lucky to meet all those great gals.
Hang on. You took a bowling class? That is hilarious! I enjoy bowling occasionally with the family, but I absolutely stink. I need the bumper guards as much as the kids.
I don't know if it's possible to divulge too much about yourself. So so fun to meet you in person. You gotta love the blogging shortcut to friendship.
Going home for Christmas sounds wonderful. I wish my parents could be with us for Christmas this year...
Enough with the "I wish we lived in Utah" nonsense!
It was so fun meeting you Lara! Glad you get to come back so soon for Christmas!
I am glad you are coming back for Christmas. I think you should just move back.
