Adam the Saint

I love my husband. I've been a little edgy the past couple of months with thoughts of.. 2 kids, husband back in residency working 90-100 hours a week, and the never positive pregnancy craziness that he found me a little something to help with my nerves. This morning I came in and on my pillow I found the most perfect little white box with a red ribbon. The card read "Hope this helps with your sanity." Inside I found the little iPod shuffle I have been coveting for months. True- I already have a mini, but he knew that I wanted something a little smaller to take with me when I work for my real estate agent. He kept asking me what color I wanted and I would only give him my two favorites.. pink and orange, because I thought it was ridiculous for me to get another one. But- he surprised me and I love him for it. He got me the orange which is the one I really wanted (you can't live in Texas and not love Burnt Orange). I loaded it up this morning and danced myself silly while working. Heavenly.

I will add, he is a true saint, because Adam currently has the generation ONE of the iPod. Yep- the giant iPod that is a little bigger than a deck of cards. I bought it for him for a graduation gift in 2002 when iPods were loved by Mac users and the rest of the world had yet to discover them (I won't even comment on how much this baby cost, but it was SOOOO worth it). The baby is still going strong and honestly I think he loves the dial so I don't think he will change until his is kaput. So now- the guy carries around the stack of cards and I carry a piece of Bazooka bubble gum. What a guy!

I got the shuffle for my birthday and have been in love with it ever since. It is perfect to take the gym or while doing meaningless chores around the house...you don't even know it's there. Congrats, i love the orange.

What a great surprise. I love the orange.

I have a first generation, and it makes me feel cool because I know that I had one before anyone else (actually I just say that to make me feel better about carrying something around that is the size of a brick). It has held up like a little trooper, and I think that it just may last forever!

What a sweet gift. So the question is should I invest in the nano or the shuffle. Decisions. Decisions. Burnt orange all the way. We have grown to love it!

Oh good, Lara! A much needed gift! What a guy, what a guy! Tyler had the "deck of cards" ipod, too! Like Adam, he got me something much smaller, much more swank - the Nano. Perfect for me Tyler's fancient ipod inally gave out, so now we share the Nano ... I am rambling ... I really just want to say I hope you are feeling o.k. - not TOO exhausted. Thinking of you! Happy for you!

So cool. I love orange. Marc had the first generation one, too, and just barely updated to the new video one with work funds. I inherited the old one! So far I never have a chance to use it, since as a mom it's hard to be inaccessible in that way. I'm hoping to use it in Paris though!

Hippy hop, hippity hop.
Will the Easter Bunny stop?
Will he leave a treat behind,
An Easter basket for me to find?

I'll look over here,
I'll look over there,
I'll look behind things,
I'll look everywhere
I'll look until I find my treat,
And then I'll sit right down and eat.

Happy Easter!
