The Lion King

A girlfriend called me last week to see if I was interested in being her date for the Lion King (her husband was out of town). I was excited to go, but felt bad because my mom really wanted to go too, but we only had one ticket. Luckily for us another couple bowed out and so there were 3 tickets available. Adam agreed to stay home with the kids so my mom and I could go. We had a great time and the company was even better. My mom was so cute; because when we were waiting for the show to start she leaned over to my girlfriend and said, "Can I just tell you how excited I am to see this show." I was really happy that it worked out and we could go.

The funny thing: I got an email about getting cheap tickets to the Lion King for this week too. My mom thought it would be fun to take Lulu and so she suggested I take Lulu. I worked it out and Lulu and I were able to see it tonight. Lulu loved it. She sat mesmerized the entire show and loved everything about the show. Luckily she has seen the movie a ridiculous number of times so she knew the story and wasn't freaked out by the crazy hyenas or Scar. She got all dressed up wore her sparkle shoes. It was a great Mommy/Daughter date. for all

Oh that sounds so cool! Both with your mom and then taking Lulu. I can't wait to take Mya to her first big production!

Two mommy/daughter dates! How fun. I remember the first time I saw a big show like that -- overwhelming in the best way. What a fun thing to share with Lulu.
