RECAP for 2007

1. What did you do in 2007 that you’d never done before? had a blood transfusion- yeah.. not something to brag about.

2. Did you keep your new year’s resolutions, and will you make more for next year? I actually never make New Year's Resolutions. I was also a total disaster with my word this year, so it will be my word again for 2008

3. Did anyone close to you give birth? My sister, Tasha, 9 of my friends from church (still 3 to go) and myself.

4. Did anyone close to you die? no

5. What countries did you visit? Italy- it was a fantastic trip except for the missing luggage.

6. What would you like to have in 2008 that you lacked in 2007? more consistency in my life; organization

7. What dates from 2007 will remain etched upon your memory, and why? The day we found out we were pregnant, Lulu's first day of ballet (she is so big), Teddy's birth, the day Adam told me he wanted to do a fellowship in Pediatric Surgery

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year? Adjusting to two kids (sort of)
9. What was your biggest failure? complaining; being negative; living up to my word for 2007
10. Did you suffer illness or injury? yes- my crazy nightmare pregnancy and delivery

11. What was the best thing you bought? my Italian artwork

12. Whose behavior merited celebration? Lulu's attitude towards dance- I thought she would hate it, but she LOVES it.
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed? General world news.

Little Rock

Disneyland

Palm Springs

San Diego

14. What did you spend most of your money on? Travel

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about? my trip to Italy
16. What song will always remind you of 2007? how to save a life by the fray- they played it ALL THE TIME in Italy.
17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
a) happier or sadder?
b) thinner or fatter?
c) richer or poorer? sadder; fatter; poorer- wow.. sad year.

18. What do you wish you’d done more of? take pictures; laugh; been more optimistic

19. What do you wish you’d done less of? complaining; wasting time on dumb things when I could have been spending it with my beautiful daughter
20. Did you fall in love in 2007? there is a new beautiful, fantastic, hottie in my life.. although he is getting really fat- I love my baby Teddy.
21. What was your favorite TV program? My husband would be so proud.. Top Gear. It is all about cars, but hysterical. Oh and absolutely Pushing Daisies. I LOVE IT!
22. Do you hate anyone now that you didn’t hate this time last year? No.. although SallieMae is really bugging me.
23. What was the best book you read? Devil in White City; I'm almost done with The Book Thief, so I think I can count it as well. I also read Reading Lolita in Tehran and Interpreter of Maladies and I loved both of those as well, but I already read them so I'm not counting it.- so this is also slightly depressing, because I cannot remember the books I read this year- These were selected because I loved them, but also out of default.

25. What did you want and get? An SLR camera

26. What did you want and not get? Peace of mind; more quiet moments

28. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you? Nothing and it was REALLY depressing; 32 (I had to ask my husband)
29. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying? taking time to be more creative
30. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2007? Pregnancy clothes- so happy that period of my life is OVER.

31. What kept you sane? My ipod; Blogging; travel; my husband.

I love that you have time to blog while you're at your parents. It is nice to have some updates. Loved the pictures, too.

Good list--it was an eventful year for you. I love these recaps with all of the pictures, which incidentally is the thing that's keeping me from doing one. I have a terrible time with posting photos! I hope you have a great 2008!

I am laughing out loud about Sallie Mae. She harasses me monthly too. Dang Tulane education!

Of all the great pictures you posted- I. can't. believe. you. posted. that. one.of. my. girth. Seriously. You pick up Lulu to hide your belly (which was all tiny by the way) and don't warn me that I might want to hide behind something (or several somethings as it were).

Love you!

I know, Sallie Mae, Fannie Mac, whoever, on my last nerve!

I'm so glad you did this post, it was so fun to read. It's also great to see pictures of you! You're so cute and hardly ever appear on your own blog.

I think you had an exciting and eventful year, you are the travel queen!
