Two Truths and a Lie

**photos taken at the Citadel in Nova Scotia

1. One day last week I spent a good amount of time chatting with not ONE, not TWO, but THREE long lost friends. Two moved from our fair city so long ago that it is ridiculous how much it still haunts me. While the other moved only a year or so ago, but it too feels like a lifetime. One of them indicated they might be moving back. What? Say it is so.

2. Did I tell you? I did not cooking one.blasted.thing. for Thanksgiving. Thanks to our fancy cook of a friend, Nicole, our entire dinner was catered. It was scrumptious. Although I do miss left overs and the savory smells from cooking a turkey.

3. In October Adam and I went to Nova Scotia. Adam was attending a conference, which equated to a really nice free hotel room, so I went along. My girlfriend Carrie was looking for someone to watch her two girlies while she and her husband went to London a week later, so we did a little switcharoo and while I was in Nova Scotia she watched my kids and while she was in London I watched her kids. It was great and I'm sure we will plan on doing it again.

While Adam and I were waiting in the airport for our flight to Nova Scotia we heard another gate agent announce these items over the PA system:

"Even if your bag has fit on every plane since the dawn of time, if it doesn't fit in the carry on checker we will have to check it."

"You are only allowed 2 carry on bags. If you have three we will confiscate one and sell it on ebay."

He spelled the word FIRST. Twice.

"If your expanded zipper is anything like my belt, it must fit in the carry on checker without you jumping on it."

Having worked in the airline industry I was a little shocked. However, he did it with such ease and self deprecation, it wasn't really offensive at all.
