I have done it! I have done it! Much to my dismay, I do not have a green thumb. I have tried numerous times to improve my abilites, to no avail. So- imagine my surprise when we discovered that our African Violet was going to bloom. My mom has always told me how pesky these little babies are and how completely difficult it is to not only keep them alive, but have them bloom. I am so proud. I am one proud mamma.

I don't do well with indoor plants at all. Way to go.
I am so proud of you too! I am getting pretty good with outdoor plants, my yard is looking nice, but I am awful at house plants. Rosie gave me a 3 leafed clover plant one year for St. Patty's day with a card that said "I'm so lucky to have you as a friend!" It was looking very sad and Book club was at my house, so rather than have the ailing plant on my counter, I set it in the garage. Two weeks later I remembered it and it actually looked better, in the garage, unattended, than it had under my watch. Sad.
You should be proud. I seem to kill all houseplants. I do much better with outdoor ones. Why is that? I'm impressed.
I think mom kept the green thumb gene for herself and did not share with us... Poo on her... My poor dead plants.. they curse her name. :)
