Back where I come from
Where I'll be when it's said and done
I'm proud as anyone
Back where I come from
"Kenny Chesney"
I am from powdered milk, from generic cereal and homemade chocolate chip cookies.
I am from the playground of my childhood, pink wall-papered bedroom, freshly cut grass on a warm Saturday morning.
I am from the steep Wasatch Mountains, the garden patch in my backyard
I am from Christmas mornings and boisterous laughter, from Watson’s and Mayne’s and the family Clutz.
I am from the strong willed, always thinks they are right and belief that your work ethic is a direct reflection on who you are as a person.
From “home before dinner” and “no more sharing of clothes".
I am from a church that believes in eternal marriage, Sundays observed as a holy day, family values, the glory of the resurrection of the son of God, a book made long ago, a vision given to a 14 year old boy in a sacred grove. I’m from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
I'm from Salt Lake City, Utah and tartan wearing English, clam chowder and naborhood bakery rolls with thinly cut roast beef and smeared in butter.
From the long van rides to California while fighting to sit on the cooler, the game at the beginning of Star Trek, and walking through my grandpa’s flower garden after swinging in the hammock.
I am from family photos hanging on the bedroom wall, decorations for every holiday, old photo albums at my grandpa’s house.
Wow this was really hard- it seems like it would be easy, but.. seriously you should try it template.

Fantastic, I love your poem.
YEah you stole all the good ones. It is hard to come up with mine after reading yours. It made me a little teary eyed you did great.
Very cool. I am finding it quite difficult to write!
this is really great. I need to do this.
I didnt come to your blog site to cry. You just made me relive our childhood. I miss you Lara and I will let you sit on the cooler anytime :)
