I realized that I haven't posted for a couple days now. However, I have had many a random thought (although it may seem more like I'm griping), which I think will only leave my mind if I say it out loud.
-I understand why they do the traffic report during peak traffic times, but people do drive outside of rush hour and would appreciate traffic updates throughout the day. It drives me crazy when I get stuck in traffic due to an accident, but if they would have just made a note of it.. I might have stayed clear.
-Why doesn't everyone call things the same name throughout the country? In Utah Daddy Long Legs are spiders, in the South- they are these bizarre mosquito things. Why can't we just call them the same thing?
-I love Grey's Anatomy. But I have a bone to pick. So I realize I don't own a word, but I have been saying Seriously for a very long time, I know, I checked. Now everytime I use the word I sound like everyone else and it annoys me. It was my word first. What other word conveys annoyance, shock, utter disbelief.. Seriously. What a great word and now.. well now it is overused. Seriously.
-So the other day I was at the gas station and this lady pulls up in a land rover. But.. the best part- the steering wheel was on the wrong side of the car. Do you think this confuses her? I mean, I would totally be distracted. Do you think she got it here or oversees? Adam is always lamenting that you can only get a Volkswagen Touareg in a diesel in Europe. I guess if she can get her car over in Europe and transport it to the US- so can he.
-Did I mention it cost me $47.62 to fill up my car.. $47.62-- are you kidding me. Seriously.
-Have y'all seen the Firefly TV series. It is really entertaining. You can rent it- I highly recommend it.
Okay- I'm done.

Gotta love ya Lara. Seriously.
47.00 dollars would only fill up half my tank. Seriously. And yes I know you have used this word forever, you were the first person I thought of when they kept saying this. As well as Ridiculious, that is another Lara only word. Oh and please do not blog for a long time, we miss ya too much
I'm glad you're back, I thought maybe you were in a fruit leather coma or something.
My car is about $35 to fill and that freaks me out, so I don't know how the rest of you are doing it. I don't want to have start selling plasma or something to cover gas. Sheesh.
I don't know you well enough to know that Seriously is one of your favorite words, or that you started the craze. Perhaps you should be getting a royalty of some kind. Either way, you can rest easy knowing it started with you.
I don't know what Firefly is, but I'll check it out. And Daddy Long Legs are definitely spiders.
What is Firefly? I've always loved your taste in movies/TV--so fill me in! As for the gas, remember when you were young and your mother would complain about the price of gas all the time? I've become my mother (this is one of the many horrifying ways).
so Firefly is from Joss Whedon- the guy behind Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel. They did a movie version a couple of months ago, but it originally started with a TV series on Fox. We have been using our Netflix to watch it. It is a sci-fi kind of show, but fairly entertaining.
yea. great to hear from you again.
GAS! ask me how excited i am that we will be able to walk to everything! I hear you on that one.
Did you see the movie?(firefly) Jackson and I saw it in the theater and really liked it. They canceled the tv series before we had a chance to watch it. Good to know we can still see it.
libby
Never heard of Firefly -- we'll have to check it out.
I never knew Daddy Long Legs could be anything but a spider! I think I know the creature you're referring to - we call it a crane fly. I hate those things, they always seem to dive-bomb your head!
And I'm with Jill on seriously. If you had a nickel every time somebody said it... seriously.
It has a different meaning to me...I was called daddy long legs as a child by the boys in my neighborhood. I am not sure I have ever gotten over it.
