We had a chance to go and see the aftermath of Katrina. What a nightmare. There is no way I could ever explain what it was like- you really have to see for yourself. I know there are a lot of pictures out there, but people need to remember. Especially since it has now been just shy of 8 months and it still looks like this. The breech is still in the levee. There are still areas without power. My girlfriends mom can only hope to have mail- they told her sometime next year.. like in 2007. She still doesn't have electricity or hot water. But- she is thankful she has a house! RENEW Orleans
