Moving on Up

We are MOVING. I am so excited. We went and looked at a duplex last week and absolutely fell in love. We have been casually looking for a new place to live with more sq footage and a washer and dryer in the apartment- in the 8 years we have been married, we have only had a washer/dryer in our apartment 1 time. Shocking..I know. The problem- looking in the Big D is such a nightmare, because the housing/rent prices in the area we want to live are ridiculous. We could move out to suburbia, but we would add time to our commute and with Adam's crazy call/work schedule it isn't worth losing 45 minutes each way. We decided to sacrifice buying a place in favor of living w/in a very short drive to work and staying within the ward boundaries. We (well more me- Adam keeps saying "great..moving..I hate moving") were so excited when we came across this duplex for rent. It is great. The best part.. there is enough space that I think I can have a permanent space for crafts/scrapbooking. I can hardly wait. Keep your fingers crossed everything goes well.

How fantastic to have laundry and a place for your scrapbook stuff. I know exactly how you feel, because we went through the same thing when we were trying to find a place. We have both of those two things and I'm thankful everyday for that.

I feel your pain sister. At least in Dallas you have the option of something more affordable with a longer drive. We are just too big of city snobs.

Yes, now when we come to visit next year, we will get to scrapbook. Hmm, we might just have to drive so I can bring all the crap. You will love your own room. Oh, and you have to get Cathy Zeilkes new book, you would love it, it is the sequel to the book I gave you.
Love ya, give the Lu a kiss from us

I feel your pain with rent as well. We are stuck in our house for another 2 years and are busting at the seams. I guess that is why we decided to paint and maybe redo our kitchen floors to make it seem like a "new" place.
