Should my husband call me names?

So I called Adam to see if he wanted to go to lunch with me and run a couple of errands. He just got back from a conference in Cinncinati, so it was a nice chance for us to meet sans kiddo. He picked me up and we ran my errands (very proud mailed several pieces of g. mail) and we were going to stop at Chipotle (do y'all have one- mexican burritos and whatnot) for lunch. So the conversation goes like this.. and I should preface that it would make a lot more sense if you knew the geographical location of each, but basically in my brain it made the most sense to go to home depot because both Chipotle and Exxon were on our way back to work, but we had to pass both to get to home depot.. the conversation:

Me:
"do you want to go to chipotle for lunch, but first lets go to home depot, because I want to stop at Exxon for a VERY LARGE diet coke, so after home depot we can stop at chipotle and then go to exxon, isn't it nice that we can eat lunch together, but not eat lunch together, my leg hurts."

Adam:
"you are a nutball- that was the most bizarre stream of consciousness ever"

Nutball. The mother of his child and he calls me a nutball. I thought it was hysterical and started laughing so hard that tears were coming out. I shouldn't complain my regular nicknames for him are ridiculous and freak (which is actually a term of endearment for me). What is shocking- he could completely understand everything I was saying with my quick change of topics (completely my best and worst trait)

I kid, but this is what I love. .. that he can still make me laugh after 8 years of marriage, many moves, a child, and all my craziness. What is one of your favorite things about your spouse?

I love Chipotles. I think that is one of our favorite places to eat other than Freebirds. (do you have one in Dallas) Anyways, that sounds like something I have had in my head. Isn't it funny that we expect them to read our minds. Doug always makes me laugh when he is post call and being so tired he makes and does the goofiest of things!

Two things I liked about this blog. One is that you went to Exxon to get A LARGE diet coke. Two, that alone time has become such a precious commonity that even spending one hour running errands in a car seems like something special. Alph and I are the same way, its hilarious!

Drat, I had just written a comment and then the server wigged out and it didn't keep it, so now I must write it again.

I had to laugh out loud at your crazy stream-of-consciouness because I can totally relate to that kind of thinking. I often wonder if I should share my train of thought (which is long and frightening) or if it's better to just let Randy go along for the ride (I usually go with the latter).

As for what I love about Randy, that would be his sense of humor. It's what attracted me to him in the first place. He was extremely funny, and I still think he is now even after almost 13 years of marriage, 2 kids, many hard times, and living with my parents!

Why can I hear you talking in my head. I think that is another Watson trait, talking and talking and talking. I love yours and Adams relationship, you are so loving, and playful and fun.

I have so many things about Shad that I love. I was very lucky in finding someone who loves me for me. He spoils me rotten. He never complains with me wanting a night away, or walking in and seeing what needs to be done and doing it. He is unselfish. He supports me 100%, he has a great personality and he knows who he is, and never waivers. I am more than blessed.

I can hear you saying all of that in my head too. I love when you call me "freak!" One of my favorite things about Dave is the same as you said about Adam. That man can make me laugh so hard. Also, he's the best friend I have ever had. We'll celebrate our 10th anniversary this September! Wild!

I enjoy the occasional Chipotle also, although it does tend to give me hearburn, TMI sorry. My favorite quality about my husband is his sense of humor (he just cracks me up in a laugh out loud kind of way, his memory and his voice.

Love the stream of consciousness thought. It's great when you can share that kind of thought process with someone and they are following you.

I love the inside jokes that Marc and I share. Just the dumb little things that we both will say on almost a daily basis that only we would find funny. When he brings up something from years and years ago that I wouldn't think he would remember, that's what cracks me up the most.
