We are MOVING.

Yipee- we just found out we are definetly moving nex month. I can hardly wait. I am so excited for so many things. I am excited for the hardwood floors, additional 700 sq feet, walking distance to Lulu's friend Maren, my own garage, my own washer and dryer, etc..

However, I will miss: 7-11 within walking distance, the Katy Trail, numerous parks, walking distance to so many restaurants, easy access to the freeway, our neighbors, etc..

I will not miss: stairs, the Boo Radley house behind our building (ironic that Kristi just read the book and I have been calling this house the Boo Radley house since we moved in), carpet, cat hair all over carpet (at least it is easier to clean up w/hardwood), the annoying cab driver that parks his car too close to mine and reguarly opens his door into mine- leaving yellow marks all over the place, and when you ask him to stop, he states "it will rub off", getting quarters to do laundry. No- I will not miss any of these.

I can hardly wait. Now I just have to pack.

Good luck with the move, I can honestly say I don't envy you. Just when you think it doesn't look like you have that much stuff you really do. I dread it in two years and am already thinking about it. Now that we have two more kids which means 4X more stuff!

Packing is always the worst, I tend to look at stuff that I've had in boxes and walk down memory lane. Not very productive. Good luck.

Hmmm how can I get shad to send me down for some "help with moving".

Oh, and you might eat your words on the hair on wood, you are now going to be sweeping like nonstop. I never put my broom away do to all the kids.

I am so happy for you, what number does this make?

Well congrats on the move and being so happy about it. I'm sure 700 extra sq feet will feel like a major addition. How fun to start fresh.

Congrats on the move. It sounds like you are thrilled which is good news considering you have to pack. I did it all by myself when we moved in February and hated the entire thing. I hate packing, but I must say I am good about getting rid of stuff. Mainly because I don't want to find a box to pack it in.

where are you moving too? Did I miss that?

moving!!!!!!!
where do i begin. i must say the thought of moving is kind of great. you get to see everything you own, get rid of what you don't need reorganize it all, clean it up and appreciate having a new place. make sure you give us your new address.

Amy- we aren't moving too far from where we live now, but we wanted something a little bigger and no more carpet. Also, since we will be here for at least another 4 years, we have to worry about schools and Adam refuses to move again- so.. we needed to move out of our current school district..scary! I know- we are a little anxious, but I'm hoping it will be a good move.

I will be sending out moving announcements, so.. look out for those.

that is why we moved during our residency too. that school district thing really makes it hard to find a place.

in d.c. that is what kept us from living closer to town.

and of course it is always more expensive to live where the schools are better.
