My girlfriend Liv just sent me this photo from her wedding. Although I didn't take it, I think this perfectly captures Lulu's personality. I giggled uncontrollably when I saw the photo and thought about Amy M's post about taking the perfect photo. I love it when you can catch someone totally unaware and get a candid photo of them.
For Lulu's 1st birthday, a girlfriend from church took a full day worth of photos of Lulu. She was working on her portfolio and wanted to use us as her guinea pigs. I agreed, because I had seen her work and thought it was worth it for some free professional photos. I was in complete awe when she sent me the proofs. There were so many photos that I just immediately fell in love with. I already have several of the photos up, and many more in need of a frame. She also made me this amazing mac book that I look through on a fairly regular basis. Ahh- the joy of a great photo. I wish I was better at taking pictures. When I quit, this is one of my first goals.. take a lot more pictures. I know this won't necessarily make me a great photographer, but.. the practice can't hurt- oh and a faster camera.

so cute! and is that a gymboree dress lulu is wearing? because if it is, and you are a gymboree fan (or fanatic as i myself am), you might want to know that tomorrow starts a red hot dot sale and its gymbucks earning time. if you don't even know what i'm talking about than just totally disregard this comment (minus the first sentence of course)!

I love when the photos capture their personalities. And yes, practice totally does help. I sit with my camera manual and take pictures of the same thing on every setting trying to figure it all out. I need to take a class!
I love shots of kids when they have no idea you are taking them. That is too cute!

I LOVE this picture of Lulu. I can't stop smiling. She sang beautifully for me tonight. An entire concert. I miss you guys so much, sometimes it is unbearable.

Oh my gosh. That is a perfect photo. It's amazing, and I don't even know Lulu! How fortunate to receive something so wonderful! I want to increase my photography skills as well. Seeing a great photo is such inspiration and always gives me ideas on how to get better shots.

Wow who is that "special" girl in the window. HeeHee So sad the abuse you put your little one through. I know you pushed her up against the window and then yelled ready and ran so we all thought it was a precious moment.. Cruel Cruel parents.
