We have the sickies

I have a sick child. Poor Lulu. She was running a bit of a fever on Sunday and by Tuesday it was still hanging on, so we took her to the doctor. I LOVE my pediatrician and for the most part love all of his partners. We were able to get in quite quickly to for one of his partners to take a look (Rebecca your favorite one). Lulu told the doctor that she didn't like the tongue depressor and clamped her mouth down (I really should have gotten a picture). After a little struggle- the verdict was - nothing- she has something viral and we have to wait it out. Are you kidding? I hate it when they have no other options. The poor thing cannot breathe and she has what looks like red eye liner under her eyes from all the coughing and her runny nose.

I love/hate when it is nothing as well. At least if it were something specific they could give you something to make it go away. But at the same time, a mild cold or allergies are better than something viral. Mya hasn't been sick with anything yet and I dread that day- she will be such a hard sick kid.

I hope Lulu is feeling better soon!

Speaking as a superstar parent who, in addition to his job, is a committed and active parent, maybe the key is not to let her play outside in the cold rain.

I rarely even take my kids to the doctor because it's always "viral" and there's nothing they can do, I hate that.

To quote a little Seinfeld (Elaine, to be exact): "Get well, get well soon, we want you to get well." Wishing Lulu a speedy recovery. It's always viral, isn't it?!

Um now would be the time I said I TOLD YOU SO Dumb A**! See I remember some things mom says... Seriously though I hope she feels better. Reise has been really sick but they actually said she had pneumonia which we had to give her meds but she still is suffering from it. Just give her lots of loves and cuddle time and dont let her play in the rain and she will get back to normal. Love you

Having sick kids is really the pits. I hope Lulu feels better now and I sure hope you are not sick as well. I absolutely hate taking my kids to the doctor only to have them say there is nothing we can do!!!
