My girlfriend and I decided to take our girls to a fun little wildlife park about an hour and half away. The girls did an amazing job with the long car ride, except that about 1 hour and 15 minutes into the ride- Lulu puked everywhere. AHHHH. It was a nightmare. She just kept saying "mommy- I puked all over my clothes". It was so sad. The worst part.. we didn't take any additional clothes (Why would we?) and we weren't close enough to turn around and drive home. We pulled into a Best Western and cleaned her up the best we could. My girlfriend was heaven sent, because she took over cleaning up the car seat which was NASTY. One thing I cannot do- clean up puke. I left her and her kids at the Best Western so she could feed her baby and Lulu and I headed to the Dollar General to pick up some clothes. I was actually a little shocked- I found a cute outfit for Lulu. It only cost me $8.00. Thankfully we only had one episode and went on the the wildlife park.
We had a great time and the girls went crazy feeding the animals. Basically the park is this giant outdoor refuge that you can drive through in your car and feed the animals. They have giant ostriches, zebras, giraffes, all different kinds of antelopes and whatnot. All the animals are indigenous to Africa. Adam and I have been several times and I took my parents in September when they were here for a visit. This is one of the pcitures we got of the giraffe. We had a similar experience today- which was so fun for the girls.

Lara, that is the coolest thing I've ever seen. THose photos are great!! My kids would have loved it--Lucy would have freaked out to have a giant giraffe nose in the car, though! What fun, and good job on the 8 dollar outfit!
That's awesome! There is one somewhere in New Jersey or NY, we've been meaning to go to! Evie did that on my way home from Maryland last time, just started coughing and puked. It was horrid!
A giraffe in the car? What the @!? My kiddos would have loved it. And what a friend to clean up the puke! I seriously cannot handle puke. It leaves me gagging right along side them!
What great photos, I can't imagine being that close to a giraffe--their tongues can reach so far I would have been squealing and squeamish.
What a nice friend you have to tackle cleaning up a puke-covered carseat. Now that's friendship.
Great photos and so upclose and personal. My Luke would have probably FREAKED out over that.
ok- that is hilarious! I remember visiting a park like this in VA. So strange but yet so exciting when the animals stuff their heads in your car! what fun!
LOVED your Christmas card. The pictures of Lulu were so darling, and the card was a fun little update. Thank you for sending me one, I love it!
Amazing zoo!!
That is so cool. I so want to go and kiss the giraffe... Can I please please. Love you and I am so excited you will be here for Christmas.
