ODDS and ENDS

We went to a party last night and had a great time. It is the 2nd annual Christmas party for a group of my girlfriends that I went to college with. We have a big nice dinner (delicious herb crusted pork loin, salad, cheese, green beans w/ pine nuts and this nummy peppermint dessert) and we always exchange white elephant gifts. We found this ridiculous pink nightgown for a dog in the dollar section at target. It was hysterical. Unfortunately it always gets a little out of control so there were several gifts that were crazy, but by far the best gift was the little beauty we acquired:

Am I crazy that I like it? A little bizarre, and I would reframe it, but I actually like it.

We had a great time and it is nice to see old friends and catch up. Adam always feels a little out of the loop because we moved right after we got married, so he only sees them a couple of times a year (if that) and doesn't know everyone very well, but each time we get together it makes me more anxious to get back to Salt Lake. Although, then I would be sad we left all our wonderful friends in Dallas.

I also got my PINK CHRISTMAS gift delivered today. Unfortunately the recipient wasn't home, but I hope she got it. The directions mapquest gave us were completely ridiculous, but luckily a friendly neighbor confirmed the address. Thank heavens. I must say- I am EXTREMELY pleased. I know for me, this was such a great experience and I cannot wait to see all the fun things that people did for their PINK CHRISTMAS.

Oh my gosh you came to my house?! Why wasn't I home?? I did get it (see my blog). I am so bummed I didn't get to see you. I didn't even think about it not having postage. Wow.

Have a wonderful Christmas and THANK YOU!

I love white elephant gifts, they're always so hilarious. One year my cousin brought medicine for Scabies as her white elephant gift to our family Christmas party, I don't think my grandma even knew what Scabies are.

I think that painting fits you. I love the clowns face.

Glad you got your present delivered.

How did the other thing you were making turn out? I hope Spring was able to help you.

I think it'a funny you like the clown picture. Iremember a certain person who after watching poltergeist couldn't stand having a clown near her! I'm glad you overcame your fear!
