I got my Pink Christmas gift yesterday and I am in complete awe. I was too excited and didn't take a picture of how beautifully wrapped it was. I decided to open it, because I didn't want to take it to Utah and.. Seriously- I was dying with anticipation. (Although- totally funny- we didn't have time to open the Christmas gifts at our house, partly because we were crazy busy, and I didn't want to rush through our family Christmas. So- we figure it will be a fun "Welcome Home". I mention this, because I think it is funny I made sure I opened the Pink Christmas before we left, but Lulu didn't open any of her presents from us.)
My fabulous Pink Christmas girlfriend was Amy H. I actually read her blog regularly and was so excited when I saw her name in the return address. She made me this BEAUTIFUL red hand bag that I am dying over. Amy I LOVE it. It is this gorgeous color and is lined with brown (perfect for me). She also made me a 2007 family calendar that is bound in a book. I am still confused on how she did it and cannot believe the amount of work it must have been. It is individualized with a section for both Adam and Lulu. The funny thing.. I have been looking for a desk calendar for months and haven't found one I have liked. So, you can imagine how giddy I was. She also wrote me this sweet card- apologizing for the "flaws", whatever- it is PERFECT. I'm sorry I don't have a picture. In addition to the craziness in our house- my batteries are dead in my camera. I'll take a picture when I get back. Amy- thank you so much. I am just blown away and appreciate your thoughtfulness at such a CRAZY time.
Really- I think Kristi should be totally sainted for this genius idea. I am amazed at the amount of work that went into the whole planning, mass mailing, and organizing of this little event, but I'm also so humbled for the sweet and thoughtful gift I received from one of my blogging girlfriends. I'm sure everyone thinks the same thing. And just think- it wouldn't have happened if it weren't for Kristi. So..thanks.
Now- I'm just finishing my PINK CHRISTMAS gift and hope it is as well received. Next year- I'm totally sticking to the timeline. My biggest problem- I wanted to find/come up with something perfect, and that isn't always that easy! I hope my PINK CHRISTMAS girlfriend will forgive me for not getting it in the mail, but rather having a home delivery.

I love that you opened yours, I did too (no patience and delayed gratification isn't any better for me). I kept waiting to scroll down and see the picture, you will have to add it later!
Pretty funny that you got to open but LuLu didn't.
I like the clue about the home delivery, it would be more exciting it I were still on the list of possibilities...oh well. Have a good trip to Utah!!
I think a home delivery sounds pretty cool. I am sure she will be tickled pink about it.
Have a safe trip !
You are so impatient. But heck I would have done the same thing. The purse sounds perfect for you, and I can't wait to see pictures.
Have lots of fun, we really wish we could be there.

I'm dying to see all the great stuff Amy made for you. She's a talented girl and always gives great gifts. How awful that we have to wait until you go back home.
As for your Pink Christmas gift, I think the recipient will enjoy the hand delivery, how fun!
You are killing us with the no picture thing! Amy is awesome- I bet the bag is beautiful! Have fun while you are here! I too wish a home delivery to me was a possibility- more to just say hi again! Have a great trip!
