Thirty-One

--4 plane rides needed to escape single parenthood (seriously- how do people do it?)
--36 diet coke cans consumed by little old me (I know.. I'm back on the juice)
--2 refreshing nights out with girlfriends (one in Utah and one here at home) sans babies
--15 McDonald "drive through" meals, because Adam is the cook in the family
--31 days of crying
--31 days of hearing "I want my daddy"
--10 Good Mail packages sent
--6 movies watched that were MY CHOICE (I always let Adam pick)
--1 rodeo attended
--2 books read with 3 half way there
--1 fabulous trip to Seattle to visit mom and dad
--7 full nights of sleep because my mom took over feeding Teddy in the early am
--1 quick visit with sisters still living in Utah
--2 movies seen with my little ones (Enchanted and The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything)
--2, but should have been 3- glorious friends coming to visit my first lonely weekend (we missed you Jess)
--15 days COMPLETELY alone to care for my babies
--31 sleepless nights without Adam

Adam has just returned from a month long rotation to the middle of nowhere Texas. Wait. I'm sure that isn't really fair, there are 100,000 people living in this little town. But, it is the middle of nowhere because it is a little more than 4 hours from our humble abode, which means he wasn't coming home. He had a great time. Over 100 cases, he went deer hunting, fishing, and horseback riding with one of the physicians, and the most exciting... he got a custom pair of boots. They are pretty cool.

All in all, it was a very long month, but we are so happy to have him HOME.

Welcome home Adam. I can tell you that there is one little girl that sure loves her Daddy.

Lara,
That super sucks. I am so glad he is home. Dave called at 6:30 and said he isn't coming home until the morning and I wanted to cry, but I didn't, so 31 days... You deserve a medal!

Only 15 drive through's at McDonalds? You are still super mom!

Wow, 31 days as a single mother, plus traveling! I don't know how you do it or how you did it.

WOW! I had no idea you were alone! I don't know what is braver - handling the kiddos at home by yourself or flying with them four times? You are a super woman! Glad he is back home.

Lara is a super mom and a wonderful woman and this experience only adds to her long list of accomplishments and credentials. I am surprised that anyone who knows Lara is surprised by anything she accomplishes. I think she deserves a custom pair of boots. How can I get her to San Angelo?
