Lulu and the fish
This girl is cracking us up. On Sunday she informed us she was not going to get baptized (in the church you are baptized at 8 years old and you are COMPLETELY immersed in water). It was the topic of discussion during church today so it kind of freaked her out. She was very adamant about it. Adam really tried to get her to understand and even walked her through the whole thing (although it isn't for a few years we wanted to make sure we still talked with her about the process). She became a little less nervous and later that night proceeded to "baptize" Teddy while they took a bath. Obviously we have a lot more to talk about.
Yesterday she said goodbye to her fish. (Lulu has two betta fish we got her after Adam got back from his month away in January.) We found Hailey earlier in the evening and sent her to a watery grave. Adam took charge and cleaned out the fish tank for the other fish. We put Javier (by the by- she named them.. not me) in a small cup and we were waiting for the water to cool down. Unfortunately a little while later we found him on the floor (he jumped out of the cup). We put him back in the tank, but... so we had a second funeral. She told her dad next time he needed to put the fish in a bigger cup!
We have promised to get her another "group of fish" today. She informed us she will be naming them Javier and Hailey. Not sure that is such a good idea, especially knowing what happened to their predecessors, but she is 4 and doesn't see the world the same way. She did inform us that when these guys die she would like a guinea pig. Oh and when that dies she will be getting a BIRD. Heaven help us.

So funny! I guess she gets her quick whit from her mother....
So when we talked to her last night were the fish still a live? We asked her to draw a picture of them for us instead of trying to show us.
She is funny. Hey I would rather have the conversation about baptism then the one I had about Maryn wanting to Marry a girl.
So adorable...Lulu is hilarious.
What does she want after the bird? When does the horse come in? Just give her swimming lessons and she'll probably get over the underwater thing.
This is hilarious. When Lucas was 4, he also informed us he would not be getting baptized. Too afraid of the sharks. (?) Attending some baptisms helped to de-mystify the whole thing!
