All I Want for Christmas
Lulu doesn't quite get Christmas. Oh she gets that it is Jesus' birthday (thanks to her "preschool") and she loves seeing the tree, lights, and blow up Santa, but she doesn't really get that she is getting toys. So- I am now buying her things I would have loved as a child. We got her the easel, misc. painting supplies, a butterfly purse, a couple of puzzles, and some musical instruments. But, I realized we left everything at home and she would have nothing to open from Santa. I wanted to make sure she had a little Santa gift (I wish I had the giant Santa bag Krisit found- I only found a small one, but it only works if the gifts are unwrapped and out of their packages and I think that defeats the purpose- I digress) so my mom and I headed to Target. We bought her a collection of the Littlest Pets. I love these things. When we were in town last Lulu fell in love with my brother in laws parakeet (I think I have posted about it) and Adam thinks it would be a great idea to get her one. I was semi on board until we talked to our friends and found out they are messy birds. So I got her this one instead:
It isn't a parakeet, but it is close enough for me. She never really asked for one, so I don't feel like I'm cheating her out of a real parakeet. She just prays for the bird in every prayer.
Merry Christmas

Whitney is getting a ton of Littlest Pet Shop stuff for Christmas. She informed me awhile ago that she wanted every single one! She's not getting that many, but she is getting quite a few.
I don't think you have blogged about the bird, I did not know that one of Adam's brothers had a bird. Do tell. The only bird I know about is the funny bird of your friends who does not like his wife, and yells for help.
I think those are great. I have bought a few but Maryn and Brynn are just not into them, I don't get it.
Did you get our present? Don't you love the wrap job, special I know.
Something we always do when we come down, is that we call Santa and ask him to please leave our presents there since we will not be home. We don't wrap them, they are sitting out of the box, I might have to go and get the Santa bag. That way we don't have to carry presents too one place and home. So I always pretend I forgot something, run back in and set up the Santa gift for each kid. They love it. The love that when they get home there is more Christmas. Oh and it helps in not losing things.
Do you remember my blog about these toys. I am so in love with them and I wish I could have them all... I mean I wish Reise could have them all. heehee So Lulu hopefully will like the ones that you so nicely asked for. Love you
Merry Pink Christmas!
Does she pray for the parakeet or her Littlest Pet Shop bird? Wither way, how cute! Kaitlin loves Littlest Pet Shop toys. She calls them her Little Pet Shops and plays with them in the bath tub. I used the multipack they had at Costco as her potty training bribe toys--one Little Pet Shop for every successful potty attempt. Now we have them coming out of our ears, and now we've discovered that they have them for $2.99 at the checkstand at Target. I always pray that they're out when we go there!
When Kristi first told us about those toys, I thought they were the weirdest looking things ever, but that have totally grown on me. I have bought a few for Whitney, and I sent some to my nieces for Christmas. Eva saw them and wanted to claim them for herself.
I have bought my kids tons of toys that I think I ended up liking more than they did. I hope Lulu loved them!
p.s. your Christmas card was just darling.
It was a littlest pet shop christmas for us this year. My girls received a ton.
Did you know that McDonalds has them in the happy meals this week?
